Seeking to appoint the following:

Dental Assistant - part-time 3 days a week.

DPKC is a new clinic established by Druk Amitabha Mountain which serves the local community of Ramkot as well as the monastic communities nearby; the clinic is not-for-profit and operates under the direction and guidance of His Holiness Gyalwang Drukpa as well as an executive oversight committee of medical professionals from the west and professionals based locally in Nepal. The successful candidate/s will be part of a team comprised of Nuns and volunteers from the clinic which will be responsible for the day to day operations of the dental department. To be successful in this position you will be required to fulfill the following criteria:
  • Candidates should be fully qualified from an accredited and recognized institution and have a minimum of two years relevant practical experience.
  • Candidates should be service motivated and work well with their peers in a team scenario.
  • Candidates should nurture a harmonious working environment, with focus on knowledge transfer and improving the skills of their clinic peers.
  • Candidate should be motivated to improve and develop health care in Nepal and improve patient health in the region.
  • The successful candidates will be jointly responsible for the day to day operations of the Dental Department and treat patients 3 days a week at the clinic facility.
  • Candidate must be fluent in English and possess a high degree of spoken Hindi/Tibetan/Nepali.
  • The successful candidates will work on a self-employed basis and will be required to report to the Clinic committee regularly.
  • The successful candidates should have own transport to and from the clinic for the contracted period
  • The successful candidates should have mobile phone which can be used to contact during the contracted period.

Overnight accommodation and meals can be arranged as part of remuneration package if candidates wish to stay on the clinic premises for the duration of their working period. However candidates should have their own transport to and from the clinic.
Remuneration and contract are negotiable, however this should be indicated by the candidates when they send their CV. Deadline for applications: 22nd of July, 2010, Interviews will commence after the 24th of July, 2010
